AFTER months of uncertainty and a disappointing pre-season build-up, Leiston FC have announced the appointment of Alan Day as reserve manager.

Alan, who made 45 league appearances during Leiston's promotion to the Jewson League and in its inaugural season, was previously player-manager with Sole Bay United FC.

He has an excellent pedigree including coaching badges and it is hoped his appointment will provide the missing piece of the jigsaw as the club has undertaken major changes behind the scenes with regards to its Youth structure and links to its adult sides.
