Norfolk Womens League Division One
Magpies Ladies IV 1 Reepham 5
Magpies came out strongly and enjoyed the majority of possession in the first half.
However, they were unable to convert, and with Reepham quick on the counter attack, went three goals down before pulling one back through a well worked short corner routine which ended with Laura Schultheiss cracking the ball into the far corner.
It was a deserved goal for the home side but they still went into the break behind.
The second half saw Magpies stay stronger in defence and win several short corners. They were unlucky not to reduce the deficit with some quality keeping in the Reepham goal.
The away side extended their lead by another two, an impressive scoreline for Reepham, but slightly flattering as Magpies definitely deserved something more from the game.
Credit must be given to all the Magpies players, as they never gave up and battled until the final whistle.
