MONEYBAGS Manchester City are poised to splash �25 million on Brazilian Diego in a bid to appease unhappy star Robinho.

Despite being the richest club in the world, City last week failed to capture Kaka - prompting Robinho to storm out of their Tenerife training camp.

Boss Mark Hughes now wants to bring Diego from Werder Bremen on �180,000 a week as he looks to strengthen his underperforming squad.
