Ipswich Town are looking to halt a poor run of form in a game against Championship strugglers Burton Albion, at the Pirelli Stadium, this afternoon (3pm).
Having won their opening five games of the season in all competitions, the Blues have now lost seven of their last nine following last Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat to rivals Norwich City.
Mick McCarthy’s men go into this game 11th in the table with a game-in-hand on most.
Having avoided the drop in their first-ever season at second-tier level, Burton once again are looking to battle the odds.
Nigel Clough saw some key men depart in the summer and has a lengthy injury list. The Brewers, 22nd in the standings, have not won a game – or scored a goal – since a 2-1 home victory against Fulham on September 16.
