McCammon signs for Braintree

BRAINTREE Town manager Alan Devonshire has bolstered his attacking options, ahead of tomorrow’s trip to York City, with the signing of giant striker, Mark McCammon.

The 33-year-old former Charlton and Millwall hitman has been without a club since leaving Gillingham at the end of his contract and most recently spent time on trial with League Two clubs Port Vale and Crewe.

The Barbados international who stands at 6ft 5ins will challenge first-choice strikers Sean Marks and Ben Wright for a first-team spot and could make his debut at Bootham Crescent with the Iron front pair struggling for goals - Wright has scored one in seven games and Marks, one in 10.
