ADRIAN Meredith of Hintlesham won the Suffolk Open championship at Stowmarket yesterday by seven shots from Bury St Edmunds junior Tom Stephenson, who beat Will Wright of Rushmere for second place on count-back.

ADRIAN Meredith of Hintlesham won the Suffolk Open championship at Stowmarket yesterday by seven shots from Bury St Edmunds junior Tom Stephenson, who beat Will Wright of Rushmere for second place on count-back.
Meredith was 10 under par for the tournament and set a new course record of 64 in his third round. Earlier in the day, Sam Forgan and Stephenson had equalled the existing course record of 65.
