Braintree Town face a must-win clash at home to play-off chasing Dover Athletic in the National League, tomorrow.

Hakan Hayrettin’s Iron are two points clear of the bottom-four, while their opponents are two points adrift of the top-five, meaning there is all to play for in north Essex this afternoon.

In National League South, third-placed Chelmsford City look destined for a place in the end-of-season play-offs, the Clarets currently nine points clear of sixth-placed Hungerford, with five games remaining.

Tomorrow, City host fellow play-off chasers, Poole Town, their visitors just two points adrift of manager Rod Stringer’s side.

In Ryman North, Maldon & Tiptree, managed by former Ipswich Town midfielder Kevin Horlock, in second place, can secure their play-off place with a point at home to Dereham.

Heybridge Swifts, meanwhile, in 19th poisition in Ryman North, travel to 10th-placed Aveley.
