Colchester & Tendring AC were privileged to host the Essex Schools Cross Country Championships over the tough Hilly Fields course in Colchester, for the third successive year.

There were a number of excellent performances by athletes from all over Essex, and the North-East Essex team showed up particularly well.

A number of their athletes have been selected to run for Essex at the English Schools Cross Country Championships, which will be held at Norwich in March.

Year 8/9 Boys: 7 Matthew Brayshaw (Holmewood House).

Year 10/11 Girls: 8 Hannah Watson (Colchester High); 9 Elsie Gray (Colchester CHS); 17 Jaszmine West (Col/High).

Year 10/11 Boys: 13 Danny Millwards (St Benedicts); 17 Freddie Richardson (St Benedicts).
