OLYMPIC boxer, Anthony Ogogo and Paralympic powerlifter, Zoe Newson lifted the Suffolk Sports Personality of the Year award at the Suffolk Sports Awards, last night.

The pair, who claimed bronze medals at London 2012, shared the final award of the evening at a glitzy ceremony held at Trinity Park. Ogogo, from Lowestoft, also won the award last year

Karate player Charlotte Wastell, meanwhile, was named the Young Sports Personality of the Year, while Mildenhall Fen Tigers won the Archant Suffolk-sponsored Senior Team of the Year award.

Among the other recipients were the National Cup football winners from Great Cornard Middle School and Young Community Volunteer of the Year, Kelly Scrutton.
