In our daily feature, we take a look at what happened on this day in Ipswich Town’s history...
We begin today’s on this day from 2011 as the Blues drew 2-2 with Cardiff City with both Jason Scotland and Michael Chopra scoring against their former club.
In 1977, Trevor Whymark scored twice as Town beat Birmingham City 5-2 at Portman Road as they scored five goals in a game for the third time that season.
And finally two years ago today, Town were held to a goaless draw with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park as they failed to score for a fifth game in a row in the 2016-17 season.
