Peterborough will open their new era of Premier League racing on Tuesday March 18, 2014 with a home clash against Rye House.

Panthers are set to renew local rivalries with the Rockets next season, and the Hertfordshire side will be the first visitors to Alwalton in the first leg of the East of England Cup. The return fixture has been scheduled for Saturday March 29 at Hoddesdon.

The clubs last met in a competitive fixture in 2003 although they were in different divisions, as that season included a League Cup competition featuring teams from both senior leagues.

Rye House’s 2014 septet includes GB international Edward Kennett at No.1 as well as rising stars Tyson Nelson and Jason Garrity, and former Panther Jason Bunyan who was an Elite League squad member in 2012.

Fixture planning for the official competitions is underway and full details of the Panthers’ schedule will be available in the New Year.
