FORMER Colchester boss Phil Parkinson has been announced as the new manager at floundering Championship outfit Charlton Athletic this afternoon.
Parkinson, who led the U's to promotion to the Championship before departing for Hull, has been caretaker boss at the Valley since manager Alan Pardew was sacked in November.
