Tony Mowbray has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Ipswich Town manager’s job, it has been reported.
The former Town star, a member of the Blues squad which last won promotion to the Premier League at the start of the century, was initially one of the favourites for the Portman Road hotseat.

But, having just led Blackburn Rovers back to the Championship, the 54-year-old is focused on his task with Rovers.
He’s reportedly been sounded out by Town, but told the club he does not want to be considered as the replacement for Mick McCarthy.
Instead, he’s set to meet with Blackburn owners Venky’s as he plots for success back in the Championship next season.

Shrewsbury boss Paul Hurst is the current betting favourite for the Town job, followed by ex-Sunderland manager Chris Coleman and former Blues star Shefki Kuqi.
