IPSWICH Town manager Joe Royle was worried that a floodlight failure, midway through the first half, might have denied his team three points at Ninian Park on Saturday, writes Carl Marston.
The Welsh club had to rely on their back-up generator, after the floodlights fizzled out. The rest of the first half was played in gloomy conditions, before the floodlights burst into life for the second period.
"I thought that someone had walked away with the fuse!" joked Town boss Royle. "We were leading 2-0 at half-time, and I felt like asking someone to go and man-mark their owner, Sam Hammam!"
