Sudbury boys a little nervous to be playing such a large tournament over came there nerves by playing there first game against Olney. Soon into the 1st half quick ball from the line out shipped through the backs to Wardrop who crossed Olney's try line.

Olney tried to come back at Sudbury but the defence was too strong.

Half time Sudbury worked hard around the park and sore Rust take his place on the score sheet. Quick thinking kept the ball alive and Boydell finished after 7 phases.

With nerves settled and a small break Sudbury had there next game against one of the favourites of the day. Hard tackleing from both sides sore no scores in the first half. Soon into the second half and scrum awarded to Sudbury S&L pushed off the ball picked up passed out to Lewis who scored the only try of the game.

Budgebrook 0 v Sudbury 15

Keen to keep a clean sheet tackles seemed to increase in there ferocity and mistakes came from the opposition a penalty awarded to Sudbury the ball passed to Moss who ploughed his way through the opposition defence to score.

Boydell was next to score after playing a major part in all previous games. Then again Boydell crashed! through the defence for the final try of the game lat in the second half.

A hard game with great passages of play from both sides but no score to either just a thrilling sceptical of rugby.

This meant Sudbury won there pool with not a point lost. With no more than a 5 minute rest before the Semi final Sudbury's small squad were feeling the strain of there hard work.

Old Northamptonians 5 v Sudbury 0

Old N's had been able to watch Sudbury's last game and knew they had to play to there best and did exactly that and Sudbury pushed them hard through the first half and kept them in there own half but could not capitalise on the pressure. In the second half the shoe was on the other foot and Old N's capitalised off the back of a line out and scored.
