Ipswich Witches 63 Plymouth Devils 32

Ruthless Ipswich ‘Sackers’ Witches booked themselves a League Cup semi-final place with a demolition of poor Plymouth Devils at Foxhall Stadium last night.

On a track that was tricky early on because of shower an hour before start time, the Suffolk side attacked it from the off. And boy did it pay off.

All the home side were on fire from the start and it means a semi-final place against either Newcastle, Edinburgh or Sheffield is assured. Plymouth had no answer.

Guest rider Craig Cook, Morten Risager and Rohan Tungate were all unbeaten by an opponent, as the Witches recorded just one last place all night.
