IT was a case of 'same again' following the Ridgeons League annual meeting at Diss FC on Saturday, with no new teams accepted, and members heard that the competition was in a sound financial position.
However clubs will have to dig deeper in their pockets on match days. with referees' expenses rising to £27 per match and linesmen up to £18.
Braintree Wanderers' application had already been turned down, as the FA had indicated that new clubs had to join the system at Step 7 level (KB Border League) and could not move straight into Step 6, which is Ridgeons Division One.
Following internal reorganisation, both financially and administratively, Clacton Town have changed their name to FC Clacton, and will be in Division One following last season's relegation.
