Colchester United manager John Ward is set to name the same side for this weekend’s long trip to Hartlepool, following his team’s best home display of the season in the 4-1 win over Bury last Saturday.
Ward confirmed at this morning’s press conference that he had no new injury concerns, and so would be likely to stick with the same starting XI which demolished the Shakers.
“I will be hard pushed to make changes,” admitted Ward.
“I think I’d have a few players knocking on my door if I did change it.
“We’ve got a couple of days before we venture out into the park, so we will see if everyone is OK. But if they are then we will probably give everyone another shot.
“I have no new injury worries at the moment. Everyone seems to be OK,” added Ward.
Striker Steven Gillespie will return to the squad after a one-match suspension, although he will probably have to make do with a place on the bench.
