WITH the football season now drawing towards a close three teams in the Metaltec SIL still have half their fixtures still to play.

There are ten weeks remaining and Leiston St Margarets, St Edmunds '65 Reserves and Halesworth Town Reserves have still got the majority of league games left to play.

Three teams remain unbeaten away from home in the SIL with Crane Sports, Trimley Red Devils, and Bacton United '89 Reserves yet to taste defeat on their travels away from home.

And congratulations to my first SIL club Shotley - they were known as Shotley Swifts back then when I was notching goals in the First Division as a 16-year-old for them.

After their 2-1 win over Needham Market Vets saw them move off the bottom of Division Six for the first time since early November.
