SWANSEA boss Paulo Sousa has made an attempt to fend off Wigan Athletic in their attempt at signing midfielder Ferrie Bodde.
Roberto Martine left Swansea for Wigan and has already stolen two former players, Jason Scotland and Jordi Gomez. Both players were highly rated in the Championship last season with Jason Scotland as one of the league's top goal-scorers.
Sousa, determined to hold onto his players has said: βHe's a player who belongs to us and we want him back playing for us as soon as possible to help us.
βI have said from the start that he has a contract with us and we are looking after him because he can help us and he can improve us.β
