Spurs to sign Spanish star

SPURS have told Villarreal they want cash plus Sebastien Eguren and Marcos Senna in exchange for striker Roman Pavlyuchenko. Eguren - a 28-year-old Uruguayan -plays in defensive midfield and spent three years playing in the Norwegian league before signing for the Spanish side in 2008 following a loan spell.

Senna is far more instantly recognisable as the defensive midfield linchpin of Spain's European Championship winning side. The 32-year-old Brazilian-born player has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester United this summer.
