STOWMARKET Town joint managers John Griffin and Christian Appleford have bolstered their squad with two new signings for the Mid Suffolk club.
Stowmarket lad Ollie Canfer has joined the Ridgeons League Division One side from neighbours Needham Market on a two-month loan.
Canfer, who played for Whitton United, Walsahm-le-Willows and Woodbridge Town last season, moved across to
Bloomfields pre-season, and made his debut for his home-town club on Saturday at FC Clacton.
Griffin remarked: “I want to say thank you to Danny Laws and all at Needham for making this happen. It's great to have neighbours of their standard, and I hope one day we can do the same for them.”
Also moving to the Greens Meadows club is Julian Castell, another local lad that has been playing his football elsewhere.
He joins from Team Bury, while Stowmarket youngster Ryan Clark moves in the opposite direction.
Appleford commented: “We wish Ryan well and can't wait to see Jules in the first team very soon.
“With a few more irons in the fire we hope to bring in a couple more faces by mid-October to bolster the good squad of players we already have.”
