SUFFOLK will be looking to capitalise on home advantage when they face the Isle of Man in the quarter-finals of the

FA County Youth Cup tomorrow.

After away wins against Huntingdonshire and Worcestershire, Suffolk face the Isle of Man at Notcutts Park, home of Woodbridge Town, start 2pm.

Andy Gould, the Suffolk manager, has again been faced with selection problems ahead of the match, with Leiston's Danny Morphew, Bury Town's Zak Shaw and Woodbridge Town duo Craig Jennings and long-term injury victim Josh Mayhew all ruled out.

Gould said: “We faced similar problems when we went to Bromsgrove to play Worcestershire in the last round and whilst it was not a vintage performance, we did enough to get through.”

A single goal victory was sufficient to set up tomorrow's tie at a ground where Suffolk defeated West Riding in last season's semi-final.

Gould continued: “Woodbridge is a familiar ground for the players and staff, and we have enjoyed a lot of success there in this competition over the last four or five years. However, we are not looking beyond this weekend, although we all know there is a massive incentive to get into the last four where we will have a home tie, and everyone knows what lies beyond that.”

Gould admitted he did not know too much about the Isle of Man, who have reached this stage of the competition thanks to a 3-0 win away to Nottinghamshire and a

2-1 home victory over London.

“It would have been nice to watch them play, but we have spoken to opponents from previous rounds. They deserve respect for reaching this stage of the competition, but if everyone performs on the day - we have only conceded one goal in four games and not found scoring goals difficult - we are confident we will progress to the next round,” added Gould.

Suffolk squad: Nick Pope (Bury Town), Lewis Rhodes (Woodbridge Town), Tom Hardwick (Bury Town), Joe Bloomfield (Felixstowe & Walton Utd), Stefan Marsh (Needham Market), Elliot Hunter (Bury Town), David Kempson (Woodbridge Town), Darryl Coakley (Cambridge Utd), Luke Ingram (Woodbridge Town), Joe Boreham, Alex Steed (both Bury Town), Josh Curry (Woodbridge Town), Jack Severy (Melton St Audry's), Chris Gray (Stowmarket Town), Ryan Clark (Needham Market), Christy Finch (Lowestoft Town), Darren Grint (Kirkley & Pakefield).
