Mick McCarthy has made three changes to his Ipswich Town side for today’s clash with Cardiff.

Out go Brett Pitman, Jonathan Douglas and Kevin Foley, with Luke Hyam, Daryl Murphy and Cole Skuse returning to the side for the game in south Wales.

Dean Gerken is ill, with Michael Crowe taking his place on the bench, with Foley dropping out of the squad completely after suffering a bang on the ribs on Tuesday night at Bolton.

Ipswich Town: Bialkowski, Chambers, Smith, Berra, Knudsen; Hyam, Skuse, Pringle, Bru; Murphy, Sears.

Subs: Crowe, Digby, Tabb, Douglas, Maitland-Niles, Varney, Pitman.
