The semi-final draw for the two Thurlow Nunn League Cup competitions has thrown up some interesting ties.

In the last four of the Red Insure Cup, Ely City have been drawn against local rivals Newmarket Town in what promises to be a blood-and-thunder of a tie on March 4.

The other semi-final sees Felixstowe & Walton United play host to either AFC Sudbury reserves or Brantham Athletic a week later on March 11. Sudbury and Brantham will hope to make it third time lucky soon after seeing their quarter-final tie already postponed twice due to the bad weather.

The draw for the semi-finals of the First Division Knock-out Cup has also drawn up some potentially enthralling fixtures with Debenham LC, 1-0 winners over Dereham Town reserves in the last round, hosting either Stowmarket Town or Great Yarmouth Town on March 18.

First Division promotion hopefuls Whitton United are on the road in the last four, where they will travel to either Saffron Walden Town or Braintree Town reserves on either March 18 or 19, with the date to be confirmed.
