Ipswich’s Jack Somers returned with two bronze medals from the recent WSKA World Shotokan Karate Championships in Poland.
Representing KUGB England, Somers took a bronze in the Senior Men’s Individual Kata and also the Senior Men’s Team Kata.
In the team event, England just missed out to Hungary on a tie-break for second place, losing by 0.1.
This was the first time Somers, 21, had competed at world level as a full senior.
He is now setting his sights on the ESKA European Karate Championships at the K2 Arena in Crawley, which take place next month.
