COLCHESTER United have agreed a fee with Carlisle to bring keeper Ben Williams to the Community Stadium.
The deal stalled at the end of last week, when a proposed part-exchange with U's striker Scott Vernon fell through. Vernon decided to stay with the U's and fight for his place.
However, a fee has now been agreed with the Cumbrians, and Williams is due to travel down to Essex to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
