Mick McCarthy was embarrassed. The fans were embarrassed.

Ipswich Town’s 1-0 loss away to National league side Lincoln City in an FA Cup third round replay last night, in front of a TV audience of millions, will certainly go down as one of the most ignominious moments in the club’s history.

But is the game actually deserving of the title ‘Ipswich’s worst ever match’?

Depending on how long you’ve been supporting Town you might have different opinions.

There were some shocking defeats in the all-important East Anglian Derby in the 2010-11 season (4-1 under Roy Keane and 1-5 under Paul Jewell) and of course that game against Manchester United in 1995.

Tell us whether you think the Lincoln replay was the worst ever Blues match and if you think there was a worse one, tell us when and why above.

It’s not all doom for McCarthy though – managing director Ian Milne has urged fans to stick with the boss and show the same patience afforded to Blues legend Sir Bobby Robson during his time in charge.
