COLCHESTER United boss Aidy Boothroyd proclaimed ‘we’re back’ after his side’s 3-0 win over high-flying Swindon today.
Ashley Vincent scored against the run of play to give the U’s a half-time lead, before Anthony Wordsworth’s second half brace sealed victory.
It is Colchester’s first win in eight and puts them back level on points with seventh-place Huddersfield.
“This is a huge result for us - really massive,” said Boothroyd.
“We have ground out a result against a very good team. The sense of relief is there for everyone to see and hear.
“It’s a result which leaves us full of confidence and I definately feel as though we are back.
“We’re certainly going to celebrate this one tonight. It was a hard fought win and in the end I thought we deserved it.”
