WESTERFIELD United lifted the Suffolk Junior Cup thanks to two gift goals at Portman Road tonight.
An own goal by Bartons’ centre back Aaron Marsden after 30 minutes gave the Kingsley Healthcare SIL side a half-time lead.
Bartons, who were looking to complete a quadruple after league and cup success in The Glasswells St Edmundsbury League, equalised in the 64th minute through Callum Brown.
But five minutes later stand-in keeper Elliot Barrs, who was given special dispensation to play by Suffolk FA earlier today after regular keeper and captain James Curtis suffered a fractured skull at the weekend, dropped a deep cross by Joe Iacobucci and Jamie Sandilands pounced to score the winner.
