Former Colchester United loanee, Sanchez Watt, is attracting interest from a number of clubs after being released by Arsenal this summer.
Flying winger Watt made a big impression during his loan stint with the U’s at the start of Joe Dunne’s regime from late September.
Together with fellow Arsenal loanee Craig Eastmond, Watt helped the U’s to pull away from the League One relegation zone before his loan stay was cut short by a long-term hamstring injury.
Dunne has since signed midfielder Eastmond on a permanent two-year contract, following his departure from the Emirates at the end of last season, and the U’s boss has already intimated that he would love to capture Watt on a similar deal.
However, there are no shortage of clubs ready to snap up Watt. These include a number of League Two outfits – the likes of Northampton, Plymouth and Burton are all reported to have offered the 22-year-old a deal – while U’s League One rivals Stevenage are also rumoured to be in the race to sign Watt.
