COLCHESTER United are rock bottom of the Championship table following another defeat, this time at fellow strugglers QPR, who were bottom before kick-off.

The U's were undone by a brace from Hungarian front-runner Akos Buzsaky (27 and 52 minutes). Mark Yeates pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 62nd minute, but they could not fashion an equaliser during a dramatic last few minutes.

U's boss Geraint Williams rued: “We let QPR off the hook in the first-half, and that's very disappointing.

“We didn't start playing until the second-half. I thought we got the ball down well from the very first minute of the second-half, and perhaps should have got a point for our second-half showing.

“But we need to show more belief, and more bottle. We're bottom of the league because we haven't got enough points.

“We need some wins quickly, and we have three games in quick succession over Christmas. We need to play well for the whole 90 minutes, not just the last 45,” added Williams.
