IPSWICH ‘Sackers’ Witches make a rare television appearance tonight, as they travel to hotly-tipped Somerset Rebels.

The Premier League clash is to be screened live on Sky Sports this evening and it should provide plenty of entertaining racing.

Both the Rebels and the Witches are being tipped as title contenders and with the pair of them challenging for top spot in the southern section of the League Cup, it’s easy to see why.

Both sides are packed with Australian riders and on the wide Oakwood Arena bowl, it should provide some cracking racing.

The Witches got their away Premier League programme off to a good start at Newcastle on Sunday.

A precious point was picked up there and at least a point will be the requirement tonight for the Suffolk side.

Dakota North rode for Somerset last season and he top-scored when the two sides met earlier in the season.

“We pushed them close at their place,” he said.

“But we are better now. The track’s always a bit of a wild card, but we’re on it and I’m confident.”

Sky Sports pundit and Ipswich director Chris Louis will have both feet firmly in the Witches side of the pits tonight.

“I won’t be working for Sky,” he said.

“This is a massive meeting for us. Somerset are tipped as league favourites, Sky aren’t going to pick a meeting they don’t think will be evenly contested.

“It’s great for our team to be back on TV and says a lot about us as a club.

“We are exciting and we will provide nothing less than 100%.”
