Ipswich Witches 48 Somerset Rebels 42
IPSWICH Witches hopes of KO Cup progression are in the balance after an exciting meeting at Foxhall Stadium against Somerset Rebels. The Witches started like a train, banging in maximums in heats two and three. And with Somerset reserve Kyle Newman out of the meeting after a heat two crash with a broken collarbone they looked set fair. But a mistake by Rohan Tungate in heat four saw him fall off when leading coming out of turn two and the impetus was back with the Rebels. They hit back, although Ipswich kept going too, with Leigh Lanham, Dakota North and Cameron Heeps all impressing. Maybe Ipswich weren’t ruthless enough and they will do well to defend this six-point lead in Somerset next week.
