Football: Following his impressive showing against Histon in the pre season friendly at Bury Town, Stutes manager Steve Fallon moved quickly to sign Bury's Lee Smith.
Fallon said: “John Beck spoke very well of Lee after our friendly so we thought we would explore the potential of trying to get some time with him to see if we could do a job at this level, because we feel he has everything we are looking for.
“Not only is he a promising young player he has a great attitude and like the other players we have signed this summer he has a desire to accept our guidance and improve himself.”
