The most impressive tweet of the day was by Twitter user James Cooper who revealed his 79-year-old dad had done the Great East Run in a wheel chair.
What makes this even more remarkable is the fact James’ Dad, David, also has Motor Neurones Disease.

Callum, who was fund raising for MIND, can be seen holding his medal proudly.

MP Sandy Martin took part in the race to raise money for the homeless.
It was his first ever half marathon and the first time he had ran more than five miles in his life.
Amy Butler tweeted her proud she was of Craig who took part in the Great East Run.
