Virgin boss Richard Branson revealed last year that the company wouldn’t be sponsoring the Festival Republic event after 22 years.

Hylands Park will host the replacement RiZE Festival on August 17-18, with classic indie, pop, urban, dance and upcoming talent performing across four stages.

It’s been reported the event will not take place in Staffordshire too, as V Festival did.

Gallagher will headline the main stage on Friday night ahead of his sold-out shows at Lancashire County Cricket Club and Finsbury Park.

His first solo album, As You Were, was one of the biggest albums of 2017. It debuted at number one in the UK, outselling the rest of the top 10 of the UK albums chart combined and achieving gold certification in its first week.

Stereophonics are one of Britain’s best live bands, marking their festival return with appearances at RiZE Festival, TRNSMT festival in Scotland and two stadium shows in Wales.

The band are currently touring the UK to support their recently released gold album Scream Above The Sounds, which is their tenth studio release and comes as they celebrate 20 years since making their debut.

Joining Gallagher and Stereophonics are platinum debut record, singer-songwriter James Bay; Manic Street Preachers, indie pop idols Circa Waves, Grammy award-nominated rock group Bastille, British alt-rock veterans Maxïmo Park and Craig David’s world famous TS5 show.

Rounding out the line-up so far are Years and Years, Plan B, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Dave, Rita Ora, Example and DJ Wire, Tokio Myers, MNEK, Disciples, Sinead Harnett and The Manor.

There will also be some of the hottest emerging talent on the bill including Lewis Capaldi, Tom Grennan, Raye, Tom Walker, Nina Nesbitt plus Jacob Banks.

Many more acts will be announced over the coming weeks.

Tickets go on sale at 9.30am tomorrow. More details at www.rizefestival.co.uk
