Some of the biggest names in comedy are heading to Aldeburgh this autumn for a new festival.
It’s the brainchild of Paul Spencer, the organiser of The Maverick Festival, and will run from September 30 to October 2.
Acts confirmed so far include stand-up, actor and author Alexei Sayle, multiple award winner Bridget Christie, cartoonist David Hughes, Stewart Lee and comedy country star Tina C. More will be announced over the coming weeks.
Limited early bird tickets are already available for Christie, playing Aldeburgh’s Jubilee Hall at 6.30pm, October 1; and Lee, who will follow her at 8.30pm.
