The line-up for the Bury St Edmunds Festival in May has been met with the highest takings at the box office for more than 15 years.
Festival manager Nick Wells said the first week of ticket sales had broken previous records.
“It’s great that this year’s festival programme is bringing in a wider audience, and I hope people will take the opportunity to enjoy some really high quality events on their doorstep,” he said.
This year’s acts include violinist Nigel Kennedy and jazz performer Courtney Pine. Book tickets on 01284 758000, at www.buryfestival.co.uk or visit The Apex, in Bury.
