Suffolk Coastal
Take a guided walk around Southwold.
Meet alongside Denny’s Shop at the Market Square at 10.15am or 2.15pm every Tuesday and Thursday in August. Each tour lasts approximately 50 minutes and will end at Southwold Museum in Victoria Street (off High Street). Tours will be led by a trustee of Southwold Museum and proceeds will benefit Southwold Museum.
Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for children.
At RSPB Minsmere, near Dunwich, you can find out what our local owls been eating. Join the team as they dissect barn owl pellets collected by the Suffolk Community Barn Owl project and discover what small creatures they have been hunting and feeding upon. You’ll be amazed at what you find.
Sessions run from 10am to 4pm, no booking required.
Normal reserve entry fees (£7.50 for non-members, £15 per family).
Foxburrow Farm, in Melton, Woodbridge is offering a monkey business fun day from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
You can try balancing and swinging like monkeys, join in with the story of the monkey who painted his friends and make camouflaged critters and bight and beautiful bugs.
The event costs £2.50 for adults and children.

Ipswich
Visit Ipswich Museum and drop by the Discovery room and use a microscope and video cameras to discover more about treasure and coins. The cost is £2 per person. Drop in between 10.30am and 12.30pm and 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

There is family swimming fun at Crown Pool from 10.30am to midday, and the inflatable slide will be out between 2pm and 3pm (suitable for children aged eight and over).
Or there is aqua spalsh from 12.30pm to 1pm.
Children aged five to nine can try summer sports at Gainsborough.
At Northgate there is action throughout the day including archery, junior football, bouncy play and family rollerskating.
Pre-schoolers can enjoy the softplay session at Whitton, while older children can join the bouncy play or family rollerskating sessions.

Children aged 10 and over can try the free summer jumpers for goalposts sessions at Kelly Road Rec from 1pm to 2pm or Christchurch Park from 3pm to 4.30pm.

There is a free basketball roadshow for under 14’s at Suffolk new College Gym. This runs from 3pm to 4.30pm and is delivered by Ipswich Basketball Club. There will be mixed activities for girls and boys.

Waveney
Discover the old myths surrounding trees and get crafty with different types of wood at Fen Barn, Great Yarmouth.
The fun takes place between 2pm and 4pm, and is suitable for children aged three upwards.
Wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Mid Suffolk
From 10am to midday there is hedgehog morning at Redgrave & Lopham Fen, near Diss.
Discover all about hedgehogs and how you can help them, with games and activities.
Suitable for all the family, but booking is essential. Cost £2.50 per person.
St Edmundsbury
As part of Moyse’s ‘Loving the 70s’ exhibition, kids can discover the fun of making their own mood jewellery.
This is a drop-in activity, suitable for five to 12 year olds. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
You can visit between 11am and 12.30pm or from 1.30pm to 3pm.
The workshop is free, but normal museum admission prices apply.
Book now for your chance to come face to face with characters and scenes from the Theatre Royal’s past with Backstage Past Live Encounters.
Enjoy a promenade performance around the Theatre Royal through 200 years of its history in just 60 minutes. Advance booking highly recommended as capacity is limited - tours run Wedensday, Thursday, Friday adn Saturday and spaces are limited.
The cost is £9 for adults, £7.50 for concessions and £6.25 for National Trust members.
Tea and cake is served from 11am to 5pm.
Discover Bradfield Woods at dusk with a twilight family walk.
Listen for bats, look for signs of night time animals and find out how animals hunt at night.
The walk runs from 7pm to 9pm and costs £2.50 per person.

Forest Heath
The most fun-filled show for children and families around comes to Haverhill Arts Centre tomorrow.
Pop! A Magical Comedy Show is being staged at 11am and 2pm.
With his faithful teddy bear, deckchair and fantastic basket of tricks, Christian Lee is all set for a lovely day at the seaside... but things don’t quite work out as planned!. Be astounded in this totally word-free clown and magic show that follows his exciting adventures at sea.
Mr Bean meets Charlie Chaplin in this mind-blowing feast of illusion, comedy and a massive balloon.
