From the moment Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole stepped on to the stage, he had the audience in the palm of his hand. No-one doubted he could dance, but he proved his worth as an all-round entertainer.
The Licence to Thrill Tour got off to an explosive start and had the sell-out crowd entranced for over two hours.
Cole was ably supported by his brother Scott, Patrick Helm, Melanie Cooper and his dancing partner Fauve Herlot, a Flavia Cacace lookalike. But a special mention has to be given to Crystal Main who was returning to her home town for the show.
Licence to Thrill is just what a live show should be. A superb 12-piece orchestra, fronted by vocalists Iain Mackenzie and Julie Maguire, sparkling dresses, gorgeous girls, hunky guys and a smattering of humour. Brendan got everyone on to their feet with a short salsa lesson culminating in the classic Dirty Dancing finale – Time of My Life.
