Management changes mean pop star Alexandra Burke won’t be performing at JLS’ Chantry Park gig, it has been announced.

The Bad Boys singer - who pipped Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Orits Williams and JB Gill to X Factor glory in 2008 - was set to join current X Factor champions Little Mix, chart-toppers Cover Drive, I Am Tich, A*M*E and NVS at the concert next Sunday.

“Shortly following her change in management earlier this year, the promoters amicably agreed to release Alexandra from her contract to support JLS on The Sound City Summer Tour and wish her well in her chosen direction,” said tour spokesman Dion Clements.

“I would add the line-up of JLS, Little Mix and Cover Drive, along with rising stars I Am Tich, A*M*E and NVS, offers fantastic value for music fans.”

Merrygold says the group, whose last gig in town was in 2010, can’t wait to party with fans.

“This is going to be a show that people are going to want to see. The fans who already have tickets show how amazing they are. They keep us striving to be better and better and put on the best show we can.”

As well as all the hits, audiences can expect some songs from JLS’ next album which is due out towards the end of the year.
