ESSEX singer Matt Cardle has made it through to the final of this year’s X Factor.
The 27-year-old from Little Maplestead, near Halstead, will face boy band One Direction and soul singer Rebecca Ferguson in next weekend’s final of the ITV show.
Cardle, a painter and decorator, is now set to performing a homecoming gig at Colchester’s Charter Hall on Tuesday night.
Footage from the concert will be featured as part of next weekend’s final. Tickets for show go on sale early on Monday morning.
