The weekend is here for thousands of Latitude Festival goers.

They made their way to north Suffolk yesterday by bike, train, coach and car as the gates opened for those with weekend tickets to Latitude 2014.

Despite the delays on the A12, they flooded through the gates ready for an action-packed weekend at Latitude.

Though a few have aired their grievances with Lily Allen’s last-minute replacement of Two Door Cinema Club, who said she was ‘exhausted by the nastiness’, the general mood on social media has been positive as revellers head to Henham Park.

She tweeted: “If you’re going to be rude about my replacing @TDCinemaClub on here, can you just un @ me please ? I’m so exhausted by the nastiness.

“I understand that you’re disappointed but I don’t think that warrants abuse. They asked, I accepted, I will give it my all, + hope you enjoy.”

Lily Allen will be headlining the Obelisk Arena this evening while Damon Albarn headlines on the Saturday and The Black Keys close the main stage on Sunday.

There is also a wide variety of other things to see and do, including a vast array of literature, poetry and comedy to feast upon.

And festival-goers have been warned to take precaution as they could face all of the elements over the weekend.

Jim Bacon, from East Anglian-based Weatherquest, said those attending Latitude neede to be prepared for hot weather, as crowds could be standing in temperatures in the mid 20Cs over the weekend but also to look out for the chances of showers.

Mr Bacon added: “Take plenty of sunscreen, and water, but consider what to do in the event of downpours on Sunday.”
