IPSWICH: McFLY are heading back to town to promote new single Party Girl.

It will air on Town 102FM when Dougie, Tom, Danny and Harry pop in to chat with presenter Joff Hopkins from 4pm today.

“We can’t wait to have them in. A colleague has a guitar they might just casually lay around in case one them wants to pick it up and give us a little bit of a sing song too,” said Joff.

Fans can also quiz the band by texting the word McFLY plus their question to 87474. The best ones will be read out during the interview and you may even get the chance to ask them live on air.

With 16 singles - including seven UK number ones - and five top ten albums to their name, McFLY release the new single on September 5.

It was written and produced by the band and US pop deity Dallas Austin, who has worked with the likes of Madonna, Pink and Michael Jackson. The song’s an about-turn for the boys, tapping into a new electronic sound which may just surprise a lot of people.

The single, and the forthcoming new album, see them return to their old stomping ground Island Records after successfully releasing their last album independently.
