From a play starring Olaf the Snowman to Scaresville, there are plenty of events to keep the kids occupied over half term week.
What: Once Upon a Fairytale

The Tigerlilys Productions present their brand new 2018 show for all the family during half term. It’s an all singing, all dancing, magical show featuring all your favourite princesses and other fairytale characters. Join the cast at the Beccles Public Hall as they perform some of the most well known classics from all those wonderful films. The performance will be fast paced, colourful and great for all the family.

Entering in groups, expect an hour of thrills and spills as you cross to the other side to the woods, buildings and parkland of the Haunted Village. Scaresville residents and unsettling experiences might be encountered anywhere. The attraction is for older children over 14 and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult over 21. New this year in the Unfairground where you’ll find a Witchcraft-themed escape room. You have five minutes to beat the clock and escape being cursed.

Music from the Rogue Shanty Buoys, Quay Street Whalers and The Company of Horham Old School. Expect craft ciders, the chance to juice your own apples, fruit tasting and identification with Orchards East. There will also be family entertainment with Nutmeg Puppet Company and storytelling with Justine De Mierre. Steam engines and farming demonstrations will also take place alongside crafts, archery and plant stalls. There will be a demonstration by cook and food historian Monica Askay.

Cost: Various prices with some free events, visit the website SPILL Festival of Performance is an international festival of contemporary arts and activism. Created in 2007 by artist Robert Pacitti and produced by Pacitti Company, During SPILL you can experience over 100 different artworks, both indoors and out, many of them taking place multiple times. The festival includes live performances, sound and music, film and video, plus projects exploring heritage and place, all made by some of the world’s most exciting contemporary artists. About a third of the festival are also totally free.
What: Undley Pumpkin Patch and Maize Maze

Cost: Free entry to site, Maize Maze £5 adults, £3.50 children
You can pick a pumpkin in the Undley 50 acre Pumpkin Patch, with 20 different varieties to choose from, along with squashes and gourds. There are two huge inflatables, a farm-inspired assault course, the famous Maize Maze, donkey rides, a stamp trail, straw bale climbing, face painting, food and drink and lots more. New for 2018 there is circus and storytelling and the workshops and attractions start from £2.

This exhibition has been running for 10 years now and once again you will be able to see a range of Hollywood props, costumes and memorabilia as well as a number of genuine items that have been used in humanity’s exploits into space. The original Hollywood props and costumes on display at this year’s exhibition include Captain Kirk’s costume from Star Trek III (1984) and a Romulan uniform and rifle from the acclaimed Star Trek reboot (2009). Other screen used costume includes Matt Damien’s Space suit worn in Ridley Scott’s The Martian (2015). There will also be BBC production TARDIS console used in various exhibitions in the 90s.

Cost: Various prices, see website for details Get your little ones involved with all sorts of different types of literature through a series of storytelling sessions, creative writing workshops and author meetings. Activities include ‘Everyone Can Draw’ with Shoo Rayner, a creating art to music family workshop and The Amazing Dotty Detective with Clara Vulliamy.
