Texas will play the Ipswich Regent on November 24.
The tour coincides with the release of new album The Conversation later this month. Their first in eight years, it boasts tracks written and produced by singer-guitarist Sharleen Spiteri and bassist Johnny McElhone plus collaborations with singer-songwriter Richard Hawley and Bernard Butler.
The Conversation was recorded in Glasgow, London and at Hawley’s studio in Sheffield where the seven tracks he worked on went on to form the backbone of the album; a perfect marriage of Hawley’s 1950s rock‘n’roll frills and Texas’ magnetism to cast-iron melodies.
Celebrating their 25th anniversary, Texas have sold more than 30million albums worldwide with a succession of multi-platinum albums like White on Blonde, The Hush and their Greatest Hits.
Presale tickets, which are available with an exclusive bundle including a signed copy of the album, go on sale this Wednesday. General tickets go on sale this Friday.
