Global superstar Lionel Richie will be performing at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in Colchester on Saturday, June 25.
The legendary musician, whose hits include ‘Hello’ and ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ will bring his ‘All The Hits’ tour to the town as part of his 2016 UK Tour, which will also see him perform shows in Swansea, Gloucester, Manchester and at the O2 Arena in London.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow to Colchester United season ticket holders, priced at £70, £55 and £40 with general sale beginning on Friday, December 4.
Richie said: “I had such a great time in the UK this year and I can’t wait to visit new places and meet new people.
“Performing at Glastonbury for the first time was such a thrill for me and given me an appetite to do new things in the UK.
“I know these shows are going to be very special. It’ll be the first time I’ll have been to Colchester and I can’t wait.”
