A Suffolk artist has unveiled her take on the county’s superstar Ed Sheeran ahead of a new exhibition.
Mixed media artist Michelle Deyna-Hayward has created the portrait of the Castle on the Hill singer for an exhibition she is holding in Framlingham.
The show focuses on British celebrity icons and will also feature pictures of Vivienne Westwood and George Michael.
Miss Deyna-Hayward revealed a small portion of her Ed portrait in April but kept the full image under wraps until she had completed the final details.
Now, however, the full image has been revealed.
"I've been really welcomed to Suffolk since I moved here," said Miss Deyna-Hayward, "And I wanted to give something back."
"I love painting. I love the sensation of getting stuck in there with the paint and I love colour.
"And Ed seems to be the nicest guy on Earth with his feet firmly planted on terra firma."
The portrait presents the Suffolk singer amongst a multitude of bright colours and familiar objects including his albums and a number of awards.
"I like to put in my paintings things that are associated with the person's backstory," said Miss Deyna-Hayward. Framlingham Castle also features prominently while the market town is marked as home on a sign-post that points out a range of important places in the singer's life.
"They are either places where he has written himself or with other people. They are all of relevance to him," said Miss Deyna-Hayward.
Particularly dedicated fans might also spot that just above the castle sits the notation for Ed's top ten single 'Perfect'.
tyhe artosts admist to have struggled with one of the key aspects of Mr Sheeran's image; his tattoos.
Ed is thought to have around 60 tattoos including a large lion on his chest and a Heinz tomato ketchup logo on his left arm.
"I would have loved his arm at close quarters to study because I wanted to get it just right but I had to use various photographs," sshe said.
"I do really hope that I have got it right."
The exhibition will continue at the Carousel Gallery in Framlingham until June 11.
