Rock legend Meat Loaf will complete this year’s Adnams Newmarket Nights’ line-up.

His Bat Out Of Hell album has sold more than 45 million copies, making it the third biggest selling album of all time. Tickets for his August 16 gig at The July Course, Newmarket Racecourses, are expected to be just as popular. His forthcoming UK tour is billed as a “a final goodbye to his fans”.

“The Adnams Newmarket Nights just get better and more popular every year. We have some sensational acts performing at The July Course this summer and we are thrilled to be announcing the rock music sensation Meat Loaf will be rounding off the season,” said Amy Starkey, regional director east of Jockey Club Racecourses.

Also playing this year are Simple Minds, June 21; 5ive, Blue and Liberty X, June 28; Madness, July 19; Labrinth, July 26; Kaiser Chiefs, August 2 and Keane, August 9.
